Thanks Kim for posting the email i sent out yesterday regarding the reunion! We're still looking for people to bring along ice and we're in need of another portable grill. Let me know if anyone can help in these areas!
Thanks!
Sarah

Kudos to Ed and Kristi for opening up their beautiful island of paradise to us. We had a great time! I also wanted to say Thank You to Sarah for all the planning and to Mike for the games, to Kevin for the South Bay pontoon, and to my wonderful husband Jim for the deck boat. A BIG Thank You to God for the beautiful weather and the cool breeze and shade trees. If I missed anyone, I apologize. Just an added note to Ken! I am finally able to walk again. I just want you to know in case you have been laying awake nights worried about me. Tee-Hee! I love you, bro!!!!

Thank you all for coming to celebrate on Saturday. I'm sure that Grandpa would have been so proud. I think of him often.

Ed and I felt that the reunion here went very well and welcome Bonewitz Family Reunion #3 at our house next summer as well. I think perhaps we might want to consider having arrival later in the day and sharing dinner rather than lunch in order to avoid the midday heat. I do think it was perhaps unseasonably hot that day, so perhaps that's not necessary.

I have discovered a few items leftover from the party. I was thinking that perhaps I should just drop them all off at Nanan's house - just as another incentive for us all to drop by to give her a nice visit. I know she is always proud when one of us drop in to see her. There are so many of us. If each of us would just drop by twice a year she'd have vistors all the time. In particular, I think it would be good if we could get the men to go visit her. Women need men in their lives - I think Nanan would glow to be asked on a date with one of you wonderful guys. Even just a lunch date would make her day.

Again, big thanks to Kevin for the pontoon and Jim for going to all the trouble of putting that wonderful deck boat in (and all the trouble he had getting it back out).

I would be interested to hear any suggestions for planning next year's reunion now, while it is fresh in everyone's mind.

How is this date working for everyone for next year? This same time of year next time around?

You can feel free to post those here, or email me at kmo@ormsbylaw.net.

Much love to my family,

Kristi

P.S. Honorable mention to Angie's husband, Lenny, for bringing that fabulous shaved ice. BIG thumbs up! :)

Absolutely, thanks to the party planners and hosts. I think the lake was a great setting! That date worked great for Christian and I, and probably will work for us next year as well.

It was great to see everyone again!
